Task
Now that you have decided to become a part of our team, you must first become an expert on the history of electricity, the electric circuit, and the light bulb. It is essential to have the background knowledge in order to be successful in contributing to the evolution of electricity.
Your job is to complete the following tasks:
Your job is to complete the following tasks:
- You will understand the difference between natural static electricity and man-made current electricity.
- You will understand how Alessandro Volta, Thomas Edison, and Lewis Latimer among others contributed to the invention of the electric circuit.
- You will research the difference between a series circuit and a parallel circuit and explain the benefits and flaws of each.
- You will then begin the process of drawing a design for the prototype of your circuit.
- You will begin gathering materials for the components of your circuit.
- You will build a complete simple circuit with a switch for turning it on and off.
- You will video your completed circuit powering a light bulb successfully and share it with the community for potential approval.
- You will provide other inventors with feedback on their prototypes.
- You will write up a lab report explaining what you learned, how you chose your components, and how you created your circuit.
